Maxi Trace Dairy

Nutritional Supplement for Dairy Cows that delivers results

Maxi Trace Dairy is a superior mineral supplement that has been specifically formulated for grass feed lactating dairy cows being farmed in New Zealand. This is an oral nutritional supplement containing trace elements commonly deficient in New Zealand dairy cow. A daily dose of Maxi Trace Dairy contains mineral levels similar to the total requirement of a lactating dairy cow. The liquid formulation supplies essential trace elements and minerals during the period before and during calving and throughout the milking season when the immune system is stressed and the animals are susceptible to metabolic and other disorders.

Trace Elements Copper, Zinc, Selenium and Cobalt are chelated to give the animal an easier and friendly way to absorb and utilize them better. Uptake and palatability of the T.E’s and minerals is enhanced with the strong seaweed base that is used in the product (ascophilum nodosum seaweed contains additional trace levels of minerals such as Chromium, iron and calcium along with many beneficial amino acids).

Simple to use

Maxi Trace is a liquid and is easy to use. It can be distributed through most in-line dispensing systems and is compatible with other commonly used supplement products (test first). It can be administered by oral drench, added to water troughs directly or through a floating dispenser in the trough.

Formulated in New Zealand for New Zealand cows

Maxi Trace was formulated for a lactating dairy cow that has predominantly fed grass. The average pasture in New Zealand contains levels of trace elements and minerals which have been taken into account for the daily recommended dose (pasture analysis will help determine these levels).

The composition analysis above does not include the extra minerals, trace elements and beneficial amino acids present in the seaweed base.

These plans document the daily intake of the grasses, meals, supplements and minerals that are being fed to the animals. The information is then analysed for the protein, carbohydrate, and fibre content and as M.E is calculated from this information. The grass is analysed and an animal mineral dietary balance produced (Hill Laboratories Ltd). A formula is then used to determine what amounts of the various feeds should be given to the livestock to minimize wastage and maximise the M.E. deficiencies in the mineral balance in the grass or feeds is recognized and added to the plan at the appropriate time.
